Why We Chose 400V
Let’s talk about the voltage. We went with 400V on purpose. It lets us run a ton of power through a longer cable without that annoying voltage drop you get with standard 230V lines. And that 2500W rating? It means the heat comes on fast and stays steady, even when the wind starts to pick up. The 300mm tube focuses all that energy into a tight spot, so you’re not just heating the whole sky—you’re warming the spot where you’re standing.
The Inside Story: Materials and Design
The lamp itself is built to last. We used a quartz envelope filled with halogen gas. This keeps the internal element strong, even when it’s running scorching hot. No blackening. No fading output over time. Then there’s the connector. We went with an R7s ceramic terminal. It’s a straight-line design, built for serious heat. It makes the wiring simple, even in a tight space, and it handles the current without getting soft or wiggly.
What It Feels Like on Your Balcony
