We built this mini space heater around a 2500W halogen lamp that runs on 400V. Why 400V? Because at the same wattage, it pulls less current than a 230V unit. That means you don’t need thick wires, and the control panel stays compact. The tube is 300mm long, which focuses the heat into a small area. Perfect if you’re spot heating tight spaces—think crowded machine bays or right along a conveyor line. And it heats up fast. Seriously fast. The filament runs hot, but the quartz envelope takes the thermal shock without cracking, so you get full output in seconds.
Material & Design: Halogen, Coating, and R7s
The halogen cycle keeps the inside of the envelope clean, so output stays steady over the life of the tube. No dimming, no surprises. We added a reflective coating on the back side to push infrared energy forward. That boosts directional intensity and keeps stray heat loss down. The R7s base is a straight, double-ended connector that snaps in quickly and holds the load securely. It’s a direct drop-in for standard holders, so swapping lamps on the line is quick—no rewiring, no messing with the fixture.
Application & Benefits: Engineer-Focused Performance
This setup was made for industrial space heating where space is tight and you need heat on demand. You get a lot of heat in a compact tube, which makes it easy to fit into existing enclosures and machine frames. That said, 2500W is serious power. You’ll need solid ventilation and proper thermal management around the unit. Keep it within the rated clearances, and it delivers steady, focused heat that keeps processes warm without overhauling the whole heating system.
